{"id":1029,"date":"2009-09-01T06:28:03","date_gmt":"2009-09-01T10:28:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/karatetraining.org\/weblog\/?p=1029"},"modified":"2023-04-11T15:18:12","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T19:18:12","slug":"hungry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/karatetraining.org\/weblog\/hungry\/","title":{"rendered":"Hungry?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.<\/p>\n<p>I am a pretty fit guy but I love to eat, don&#8217;t we all?\u00a0 Like most people I have a couple pounds I could stand to loose, five to be exact.\u00a0 As a guy who loves to eat I can eat large portions with the best of them!\u00a0 Lately I have been realizing that I don&#8217;t just eat when I am hungry, something else makes me want to fill my face, boredom.\u00a0 We all know stress can lead to overeating but boredom?\u00a0 It is true.\u00a0 When I am home I rarely snack or overeat, but when I&#8217;m in the office most days I feel incredibly hungry!\u00a0 Since I am doing less physical activity there are only two explanations, stress or boredom.\u00a0 Most days it is not stress since I deal with that pretty well.<\/p>\n<p>The next time you go to put something in your mouth just ask yourself, and I hungry or just bored?\u00a0 If you&#8217;re bored put down the food and excite your mind with a new activity.\u00a0 Yes you will still feel hungry but you have a strong warrior spirit, focus your mind on your new activity and wait until meal time.\u00a0 Discipline is the key.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
