That’s right, after receiving multiple complaints from local families for help, the local television station (Local 16) went undercover to uncover this story. It turns out that Mishawaka’s Champion Martial Arts is getting people to sign a multi-year contract to the tune of $4,000.00 that doesn’t allow them to cancel for any reason. Champion verbally tells everyone they can cancel within 30 or 3 days depending on who you speak to, but when the television undercover crew attempts to cancel the day after signing the contract they are told they cannot! That’s right, less then 24 hours later the owner is telling them tough come or not you must pay me!!
Obviously this story is disgusting and goes against the grain of the martial arts philosophy which promotes discipline, integrity, and honesty, hardly what is being demonstrated here. Luckily other clubs on the area passed the test with flying colors, specifically Sponseller’s Taekwondo had no problem offering a refund because they don’t make you sign a contract!
