Being a Technophile and Fitness centric I couldn’t be happier! Now that I have worn it for a week (and read about it for months) I wanted to share my experience in this 10 point review.

Look & Feel

The look is spectacular and professional yet it is solid and very comfortable.

The default “rubber” band is not that comfortable but I also received a leather band which is more comfortable. There are also numerous different bands to chose from.

The bands are incredibly easy to change.

Smartness/Features

Withing watches are fitness devices, they are not as “smart” as others, but they are not intended to be nor are they marketed to be.

The only “smart” feature are notifications (alarm, timer etc.) which allow you schedule watch vibration with an alarm title.

Health related features include ECG, Oxygen saturation, Steps, and Sleep analytics.

Battery life: Billed to last 30 days. This will depend on use. I have enabled all features on my watch, why wouldn’t you?! That said after 8 days of heavy use (checking it a lot and playing with it) my battery is at 51%. If you don’t use notifications, always on display, etc others have reported their battery lasting about 3 and a half weeks. I expect to get about 1.5-2 weeks per charge. I will report back as I have more data.

The ECG feature is awesome however it is a manual process that takes 30 seconds. From the material that wasn’t obvious. Regardless a great feature.

BPM is accurate and the wake/sleep tracking helps you get a better handle on your fitness.

Sleep Analysis: Pretty cool and it seems to be very accurate

There you have it. The battery life alone makes this the best “smart” watch I have ever owned. The health and fitness features are amazing tools for anyone interested in living a healthier lifestyle. I give this watch a 9 out of 10. If you are considering this watch I strongly recommend it!

Note: I also received the Withings body+ scale (amazing partner to the watch)

Update: Jan 15, 2022

On January 14, 2022 my watch battery was down to 10% so I charged it yesterday afternoon. That means the battery gave me 20 days of continuous above average use! Above Average because I performed numerous ECG’s and SPO2 scans and schedule alarm tests. 20 Days is awesome. Even better I learned that even after the battery runs down to 0% the watch will keep working for up to 20 more days counting steps and sleep monitoring. You read that right after the battery is dead it will keep telling time and tracking steps and sleep! It just won’t report those stats until you charge the watch again. I may test that fact next month if I can go without the watch features active for a few days.

I received a Withings Scanwatch for Christmas!
