CCL Saves the Day

On Jan 29, 2022 in San Bruno, CA another smash & grab occurred. This time the criminals got away with nothing, but they still got away. In the security video below you can see the events unfold. The Owner was lucky as his near critical mistake was trying to pull the criminal away from the counter. If the criminal had been faster the story would of had a much different outcome with the Owner beaten with a crowbar. Fortunately he was able to retreat and draw his CCL (Concealed Carry License) firearm and the criminal ran when confronted with the superior firepower.

As Martial Artists I think there is a tendency to think you can handle any situation. I am guilty of this also. I am not promoting CCL or encouraging anyone to carry a firearm, it is a huge responsibility that needs to be a personal choice. However you must acknowledge that in some situations the only equalizing force is a firearm, regardless of skill.
