Triumphant British Karate Trio
Competition . NewsOn September 21, 2005 the Competition Karate Association (CKA) took three competitors to the BIKO Open – and came back with three medals. Mumtaz Sharif won a bronze medal in the men’s black belt kumite event. Karachi Maduforo came in third during the women’s low grade kumite event. Current boy’s British bronze medallist, Ryan Lambert, achieved a silver medal and has set his sights on the English Junior National Championships in Sheffield later this year, where he won silver and gold medals in 2003. The CKA club are coached by current WIKF World Champion and former British and English Lightweight Champion, Steve Gul.
