Paradise is where I am.
It is not that I am so great or perfect but that this moment I have been given is so precious.

Exploiting Holiday Charity

Sensei Posted in Identity Theft

Phishing site offers ‘job’ at children’s charity but is really a money laundering scam. A Website that purports to help underprivileged children is actually a scam to dupe users into laundering money, a security company has warned. A mass email detected by PandaLabs offers jobs at a supposed organization committed to helping deprived children, but is actually a strategy to find unwary people to launder stolen money. The emails have subjects like ‘Best Job No Experience Needed’, while the message body offers a well-paid job working only a few hours a day for the bogus organization. If a user contacts the fraudsters through the site they receive more details about the job. However, the operators also request money to be wired to a bank account. Panda recommends all users to delete any messages of this type that reach their inboxes and not to provide any personal details that could be used for criminal activities.
As always please confirm who you are dealing with before sending them your money!

Training Notes

As a follow up to Train More to Stop the Testosterone Tumble!
Take a multivitamin that has no iron in it (unless you are a menstruating female or vegetarian). Too much iron can lower testosterone levels. Get at least 15-30 milligrams of zinc (needed for testosterone production). Take at least 1 to 3 grams of vitamin C a day. This also helps prevent food cravings since a defiency in some vitamin/mineral (as well as thirst) can result in hunger pangs & food cravings. Remember if you feel hungery the first thing you should do is have a glass of water.

Molly’s Lesson

Sensei Posted in Self-Defense

In surfing the web I came across an interesting web site dedicated to a murdered woman named Molly Wrazen. The site lays out compelling evidence that Molly was murdered by her ex-boyfriend/fiance who just happened to be a police officer. The site details even further what very much appears to be a cover-up by the police of the murder. This is a sad story that I hope people read. If you ignore the specifics this reads like so many domestic abuse and murder cases. The term domestic violence is an unusual choice of words since there is nothing domestic (def: devoted to home duties and pleasures) about violence or at least there should not be! So why is it domestic violence an ever present problem? That is much to large a topic for this forum but let’s look at Molly’s case and see what we can learn. Molly was a nice, professional woman with no enemies. Then she became involved with Justin and her life was never the same, nor would it continue. So were there signs that Molly could have taken note of that may have saved her life? Well sitting here looking back with 20/20 vision we can say absolutely. But it is never fair to sit in judgement as we don’t know what we will do in a given situation just what we hope we will do.
Molly’s problem was the problem of the lobster. What? Lobster? Well, Molly was placed in a situation that was actually rather pleasant to begin with, then slowly over time, events began to spin out of control…her control. So what does that have to do with a lobster? Well, if you place a lobster in a pot of nice cool water, put the pot on the stove and turn the heat up, that poor lobster never knows what he’s in for until it’s to late. That is because he doesn’t notice the temperature rising at first. Once he does he probably figures it isn’t anything to worry about and that it is only temporary. By the time he knows he needs to be worried it is to late. Chances are he never even has time to realize that he is in trouble. Dropping the lobster in boiling water, that’s like a mugging or rape, it happens suddenly you immediately know there is danger and you never try to rationalize that the situation may get better. Molly was like the lobster in that she kept trying to work with the situation she was in. She acted like a rational person in an irrational situation, a situation she couldn’t fathom.
You see, from what is written it appears Molly never looked at the situation from any perspective other then her own. She didn’t consider her assailant may not be playing by the same rules.
Perspective is an important thing to have, it allows us to deal with those who think differently then us. Perspective allows us to see the world through the eyes of others. It is an excellent problem solving tool. Perspective is difficult to truly attain unless you have an open heart, an open mind and imagination. So Molly lacked perspective because she could not imagine anyone behaving as her boyfriend did. I must believe that she kept thinking he would change, see how unreasonable he was being and leave her alone. If only she could get him to understand that she didn’t want to be with him. She was ignoring or couldn’t see the fact that he thought of her as a possession, a puppet for his pleasure. This innocence and lack of perspective surely served as a factor in placing her in harms way. Now countless battered spouses will tell you that running away and attempting to hide in another state often does nothing to deter the Wacko that is stalking you. But Molly did realize that was her next step, unfortunately to late. The one definite mistake she made was to cling to her humanity and write a Dear John letter to try to bring closure to the “relationship”.
I want to make it clear that I am not placing any blame on Molly, by all accounts she was a person we all wish we could call friend. I am hoping that by writing this I will raise awareness of Molly’s lack of justice (read her story) and that in posting this someone will read this and realize their own situation so they can escape Molly’s fate. Life is to short to spend your time in a negative and potentially abusive relationship. Regardless of what you may believe, have been told or the experiences you have had, people who love you do not belittle you, demean you, physically man-handle you, hurt you or put you down. People who love you show you support, protect you, nurture you and help you to succeed in life. Many times we may feel we cannot move on or like Molly we didn’t want to hurt the feelings of the other person. We always have a choice, though sometimes we have to wait for the right time, but the choice is always ours. If you relate to this story in any way, take your first step to self-defense, seek help and remove yourself from the situation. And please remember that hind sight is always 20/20 what is important is what we do with the knowledge from our bad experiences if we are given the chance. Perhaps if we stimulate enough conversation and thought about these tragedies we may help save the next Molly from a similar fate.

All the effort you are making will ultimately pay off.

I got this little message in a fortune cookie while dining with my now deceased friend, Jack Gineo. For some reason I kept it and found it tonight while cleaning up, yes an exciting Friday night around here! What amuses me is the timing of finding the fortune. First I have been swamped lately and have not been able to post to the blog as regularly as I like. That should read daily because that is what I like! Mostly I’ve been busy and have been doing a lot of background work on the site, but also I’ve been having a hard time seeing the light at the end of the tunnel too. This site has taken a huge effort on my part in planning, expense and plain old elbow grease abd I guess I’ve been a little burnt out. And yes in a silly way finding this fortune has given me a shot in the arm. I guess I feel like my friend Jack is encouraging me the way he always did. Perhaps he is…no matter, thank you Jack.

Toys for Tots

Sensei Posted in OffTopic

The Toys for Tots program is one of the more successful programs out there, it is successful because it exploits Christmas and Christian charity. But yesterday Toys For Tots added another toy to their list of banned toys…Jesus or any other Religious figures! Now at first glance this may seem like a non-issue, after all it could be offensive if a muslim or jewish child got a Jesus Doll for …Christmas…? Wait I thought Christmas was a Christian holiday…? So how can receiving a Jesus Doll in celebration of Christmas be offensive? Did I miss some memo that said the Jewish and Muslim communities were embracing Christianity and now adding Christmas to their list of Holy Days? Think not. Perhaps I missed something about the Toys for Tots program but no, “We can’t take a chance on sending a talking Jesus doll to a Jewish family or a Muslim family,” said Bill Grein of Toys for Tots. An interesting quote considering that ALL of the promotional material on the Toys for Tots program refers to Christmas. Now mind you they don’t use the word but Santa is everywhere. There isn’t a single piece of material on their website or that I have seen anywhere that doesn’t have Santa or a Christmas tree. Sounds like they want to exploit Christian charity to me. If not where are their posters with manoras and or…the koran? Perhaps that is just an oversight. If the Marines and the Toys for Tots program isn’t exploiting Christian charity then why don’t they run their toys drives in say July?

MySpace Video Spreads Adware

Sensei Posted in Identity Theft

In case you use the site MySpace let this be a reminder warning to you, no matter what site you are using think twice before accepting any popup requests to install any type of software! Several MySpace pages offer what appear to be YouTube videos that trigger installation of adware when played. There is no way of figuring out which videos are good or bad, they look like YouTube videos, however they are in fact hosted on a copycat “” Website. That Website,, was still online as of Tuesday evening. When users click on the video, they are directed to a copy of the video. People are then redirected to the Windows Media Player, which will pop up a license agreement with installation of an adware program called Zango Cash. Assuming that users have accepted the agreement, the video downloads and attempts to install setup.exe from Zango Cash. You’ve been warned!

Neck Deep!

Sensei Posted in News, Site_News

So here I am neck deep in working on the site watching the election. What amazes me is that with 1% of the precincts reporting they can tell you who won! Does that seem a little odd to anyone else? Well I have code to work through and a patch to install so I better leave the soapboxing to a more appropriate form…for now!
