A Brief Vacation, Ended…

My vacation lasted longer then expected, mostly because I was beset with burnout.  I have been burning the candle at both ends for a little over two years now and it finally caught up to me.  While I still feel overwhelmed by everything on my plate it is time to get back among the living.  Your emails and comments reminded me of that, thank you!  It helps to hear from my faithful readers so please don’t hesitate to write or comment.

On the upside of burnout I have a much clearer picture of what lies ahead for the project that is this site.  I won’t say much more then that I am excited about the new year.  With that said, enjoy and keep reading!

The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right place but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.
Dorothy Nevill

To keep your mouth shut can be the hardest thing in the word for some people.  Everyone actually at one point or another seems to learn this lesson.  I don’t call this the art of conversation though I call it wisdom.  Often it isn’t even the threat of saying the wrong thing sometimes it is just that you can learn much more from listening then from speaking.  Silence can also speak louder then words in certain situations.  The spoken word is important too.   Wisdom comes from finding the perfect balance where your mouth is under the control of your brain!  Sometimes this is as simple as pausing before you speak, take a breath.  I think you will find that the words you do speak will carry more weight and have more meaning to others.  And never blurt out a wise crack or sarcastic comment unless it serves your purpose.

Happy New Year!!
